Miss Indian Rodeo 2014

Hello my name is Amanda Kay Not Afraid and I am an enrolled member of the Crow Tribe. I am also a member of the Whistling Water clan and a child of the Big Lodge/Newly Made Lodge clan. I was born and raised on the Crow Reservation and call Black Lodge Falls, MT home. My parents are Mike and Lorri Not Afraid. I am Twenty years of age. I started my education at Crow Agency Public School. I graduated in May 2011 with honors from Hardin High School. I have acquired my Associates of Science in Community Health from Little Big Horn College. I am currently attending the University of Montana majoring in Community Health.

During the Indian National Finals Rodeo at the South Point Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada I was able to compete in the 2013 Miss Indian Rodeo Pageant. At the end of the pageant I was fortunate enough to be crowned Miss Indian Rodeo 2014. It was a memorable experience that I will always hold close to my heart. I could not have competed without the love and support from my family, friends, and my tribe. Thank you all so dearly.

My reign as Miss Indian Rodeo will consist of representing the Indian National Finals Rodeo and the Miss Indian Rodeo organization by attending region and tour rodeos, as well as promoting Indian Professional Rodeo everywhere I travel.

Sincerely,

Amanda Kay Not Afraid
