What advice would you give to a Indian youth about learning how to rope, but let’s say they live in a rural area, or they don’t have access to anyone to help them? But they want to be like you.
The cheapest and simplest way to learn how to rope is to watch Youtube videos. If you can’t watch videos you can practice on a roping dummy to do as much groundwork as possible can and learn a comfortable position to swing the rope.
Where do people buy team roping steers and what makes a good team roping steer? Any specific breed of cattle for this type of roping stock?
The best roping steers are Corriente, they are the best because they are bred for roping. Corriente are rugged and they hold up better for roping. You have to go to Mexico to buy them. The Mexican grass helps their horns grow before their bodies grow and you need strong horns so you can rope them.
That’s it for now. Thank you.
